his site was created with the intention of promoting an awareness of a unique group of Southeast Asian  immigrants known as the Hmong. It was created mainly to inform as well as to establish an understanding of the evolving Hmong culture in America - now and in generations to come. What will become of the Hmong culture in mainstream America no one is sure. Many believe a way to keep a culture alive is by passing on the language. The focus of this site is to provide an in depth look at the written Hmong language in hopes that at least this part of their culture will continue on into future generations.

This site does not claim to be an authority on the subject of Hmong culture but rather serves as a medium through which exposure to the culture is given by the study of the language.  I believe there can be no single repository of information representing the Hmong in general as this would be impossible nor would it be practical - as the Hmong are scattered throughout the world. I will instead provide general information about the history and culture of the Hmong that I am aware of, but my main concern will be on the language.
